The national authorities have confirmed to us that we have collected more than 1 million valid signatures for the European Citizens’ Initiative
STOP VIVISECTION!

This means that STOP VIVISECTION will continue the institutional process and will be the first Citizens’ Initiative discussed and analyzed by the next European Parliament and European Commission. In September 2014 the official hearing of our representatives André Menache and Gianni Tamino will be held in Bruxelles, at the European Parliament. In October 2014 we will have the official reply of the European Commission that will explain in which way it will act to comply with our requests.

STOP VIVISECTION!

We urge the European Commission to abrogate directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes and to present a new proposal that does away with animal experimentation and instead makes compulsory the use - in biomedical and toxicological research – of data directly relevant for the human species.
